Artisans In Miniature
When this group was conceived, my over riding hope was that it would be an online group where members felt that they could find support, seek information freely or generally just have a laugh and basically find safety in ‘likeminded’ numbers… The group was set up to be transparent and protected…the owner and moderators of the group are there to promote and ensure a safe environment for it’s members.
A.I.M currently has around 36 artisan international artisan members covering many different areas within the miniature industry and it is continually and steadily growing. It is a closed online group and membership is by application or invitation only. Online members are a VERY chatty and friendly bunch, helping each other out and discussing the general up’s and down’s of our industry, within a safe and protected online environment…
In addition to the yahoo group we are also in the process of building a separate public A.I.M website.
This website launched recently, will be used to showcase and promote exclusively only work of A.I.M members. At the moment the group is continuing to work on the up and coming content content.
Membership to AIM entitles artisans to their own free web page on the AIM website - these pages are dicated to member’s own work, including links and contact information.
The website as you probably already know has just been launched, as too have the first stages of an AIM online magazine, which includes features, projects and articles written and produced by AIM members. The magazine is protected under LUMO publishing and is being utilised as an additional way to highlight and further promote the collective talents of AIM members… so far the number of hits achieved have been extreme and very exciting.
There is much much more in the pipeline…
AIM Membership is free, as is inclusion on the website…
Existing members have the right to object to new member applications…
Participation in all aspects of AIM is expected from it’s members
A.I.M is a non profit making association… it was created to help, support and promote miniature artisans…
