Hi Everyone,
At the moment, I am heading towards Nashua, New Hampshire in the States, to attend the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts, annual convention, which this year is entitled Castles and Cottages. I hope to bring you news snippets over the next week, as there is such alot going on from displays, a miniature show of course, competitions, auctions, special meals, trips to several New Hampshire Castles and of course the luxury of meeting and talking to many like-minded individuals.
I am delighted to see from the itinerary that John Hodgson is giving a Themed Lunch this coming Friday on ”English Castles, their history and inhabitants with particular emphasis on Hever Castle in Kent, England, the home of Ann Boleyn, wife of Henry VIII of England. Later the home of the Astors. Hever Castle houses a permanent exhibition of his work - a nine year project showing houses of different periods, their architecture and furnishings, and some room settings.” I am sure that will be a superb talk, and just a taster on what is to come.
I look forward to telling you more soon, meanwhile, its hot here, the sun is out and we are on our way……..
