Hi to all,
I’ve just found out today that a parcel I sent out to a customer, who lives near Bedford, has been stolen.
Apparently there was a note put through the door by the postie saying so, and for her to contact the main branch. The postie had quite a few special delivery parcels taken from her bicycle, there may have been more taken but the list for the signatures was how they knew what had gone.
It was sent special delivery and was to be signed for and was insured for the correct price - so hopefully there shouldn’t be a problem with the claim getting sorted.
As these Bears are unusual I am hoping that you can all keep your eyes pealed for any Bears coming on the market unexpected. We are keeping an eye on ebay etc but if anyone spots any Bears that fit the following descriptions then please email me any info you find.

One of the Bears was made to commission and is 12th scale. The Bear is made from dark beige ultrasuede, is fully poseable and has thumbs and eyelids. The unusual thing about her is that she is completely undressable and has extra clothes - which is something I have only ever done for this particular customer.
She is dressed in a beige cotton fabric dress with fuschia coloured roses printed on it with a cream pinafore, white knitted socks and red shoes that have a strap with a gold buckle.
She also has extra clothing. A green cotton lorne dress with smocked front. A cream nightdress. A girls sailor suit in white with pale blue trim and a pair of white shoes. I, foolishly, did not photograph this particular Bear. I normally do but as it was a late delivery I didn’t . . .
The other bear that was in the parcel is a 12th scale girl dressed in a sailor suit. She is fully poseable, made from beige ultrasuede and had eyelids and thumbs.
Wearing a white top with green/turquiose ribbon trim and the skirt in white with a pale green pinstripe -also used for the insert under the top. A white beret with the green ribbon and white leather button boots.
I do have a photo of this Bear if anyone wants it emailing.
It is fairly rare for any of my Bears to appear in the second hand market so if anyone spots any - even if it is in a few weeks - then please let me know the details so I can look into it.
I am fairly sure it was an opportunist and they may well just be dumped as they wouldn’t know what they had but as there was paperwork with it stating the value and my website - they may well try to sell them which is why I am asking you all to keep an eye open in any places you may be aware of.
Thanking you in advance for your co-operation,
regards Josephine Parnell.
